The Battersea Park Road to Enlightenment - A Book Review

I honestly did not want to like this book when I started reading it, I was expecting a know-it-all account, by someone on a spiritual high horse of what to do and what not to do on the road to self discovery.
Boy was I wrong. Hilarious, blunt, and courageous are the three words I’d use to describe The Battersea Park Road to Enlightenment. Isabel Losada had the need to take a dip in the waters of self discovery, but she just doesn’t dip her toes in, she removes all her clothes and cannonballs in.
A weekend at a nunnery, T’ai Chi retreat, Goddess workshop, tantric sex, pursuit of the perfect masseuse, this curious soul does it all and is brave enough to share her experience with others.
Losada reminds us never to take anything- even enlightenment that seriously, to be fearless and step out of our comfort zones, and to “use everything for your learning, upliftment and growth”. If you are contemplating beginning your self-discovery journey or are already on your road to enlightenment, or you could just use a good laugh I would highly, highly recommend you add this to your reading list.
